97 CASA of Natrona County volunteers have served 307 children from 161 families during the past 5 years.

Last year in Natrona County the Department of Family Services received over 1,500 reports of child abuse and neglect.  Of that number approximately 180  children were removed from their parent or guardian's care and placed into the custody of the State of Wyoming.  The children and their parents will go through a lengthy legal process to determine if the child can safely be re-united with their family or whether the child needs to be placed in an adoptive home.
